Why is it important to have a father?

his young son timidly inquires,
to be strong like you ?
His Father proudly replies;
it’s the job I was meant to do
Father will you teach me
all the things a boy should know?
Like how to catch a ball
and even how to throw?
His father laughingly replies,
it will be my biggest honor
to show you As you grow.
Father will you teach me
how to win the game?
His Father sternly replies,
I’ll teach you it isn’t about winning
but instead it’s how you play.
Father will you teach me
how to be a man,
how to always do what’s right
and be proud of who I am?
His father lovingly replies,
son I will do my best to teach you
and I’ll always keep in mind,
that you are watching all I do
to see what you can find.
